Craptacular Week:

Don't expect this to happen often. I expect only to update once a week regularly but this is just too much and I have to get it off my chest.

So first, on Monday or Tuesday, I heard the news about Michel Veillette which I discussed last comic.

Then, Tuesday evening I got a flat tire. It was snowing and cold, sucked but I changed it. Brought my car in the next morning for repair, turns out one of my springs broke in half, sheering in such a way as to cause a point and then sliding down so it rubbed against my tire. It had ripped my tire open and in order to make the car drivable, they'd have to change it and the strut. The other 3 sets of springs and struts weren't looking too hot so they suggested repairing those as well for a total cost of $2500 which included 2 new tires. They said it would take a day and I headed out to get a rental car. Seems every rental place in town had a waiting list for rental cars(I was late to work because of this), but I got a hold of my company's travel agent and she managed to find the last rental car in Dekalb.

Thursday, I called the guys with my car and they said they didn't get the stuff in yet, it'd be another day. And you know how I said Dekalb? Right, Dekalb, Illinois, USA. Thats where Northern Illinois University is. I live in the city where the school shooting took place. The wife and I spent the evening calling friends and family to tell them we were alright and to make sure they were as well. It was a little emotion and tensions were high. Wonderful. And I felt like I was coming down with something.

I woke up in the middle of the night I woke up feeling like crap. Some of the symptoms I felt were That's right, I had most of the symptoms of the Flu. I was dizzy, dehydrated, and burning hot. I ended up taking 2 aspirin and stumbling down the stairs to lay down on the couch where it was cooler and tried to get comfortable(which was touch because of the muscle pain and general discomfort). I managed to make it through the day but up and down by taking aspirin.

Oh, and don't forget the shooting ruined me and my wife's first valentines day as a married couple. Oh well, life goes on. Later peeps.
